Terms and Conditions of Hire
In these conditions:
"I" or "me" - John Scarborough
"Property" - /The Fen Barn / The Orchard Lodge / Riseholme House /
"You" - The customer
Customers
You agree to take good care of the Property, to leave it clean and tidy and to replace or pay for any breakages. Remove outside shoes before standing on carpets and polished floors' This is a condition of our acceptance of your reservation.
Arrival and Departure Times.
Lettings commence at 4.00pm on arrival day and terminate at 11.00am on departure day.
However please ask it is often possible to arrive earlier and leave later if other bookings allow this.
Bookings
(a) Bookings confirmed by email, customer must provide name address, home and mobile phone numbers.
(b) Payment for the rental is due in full to me either by cheque one week before the commencement of the letting or by cash on arrival at the property.
(c) Once a booking is confirmed by email a contract will have been deemed to have been formed between You and I.
Occupency
(a) You agree at time of booking the maximum number of people to use the Property.
(b) We reserve the right to make a charge for damage, damaged or missing items, or any other than normal cleaning.
Pets
Pets can be brought to the Property only by agreement at time of booking.
Pets should stay downstairs and off the sofa's and furniture.
If pets are to be left alone in the property you should bring a cage for them.
As the farm can be pretty muddy you may need to clean your pets feet before going inside.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the Property.
Linen
Towels and bed linen are provided at no extra cost. Discount may be available if customer wishes to bring their own towels and bed linen.
Wi-fi Internet
Free shared Wi fi is provided in Fen Barn and Orchard Lodge. However by the nature of Wi-fi no guarantee is made regarding signal levels and data speeds.
Liability
No liability is accepted in respect of loss or damage to You or any member of your party, their baggage, car or contents, resulting from adverse weather conditions, sickness, injury, farm animals, farm machinery, or for loss or damage by a third party. Do not park in the working Fen farmyard beyond the wooden fence/gates. Children should be supervised by adults in your party at all times.
Complaints
If it is felt that there are reasonable grounds for complaint about any Property, I must be contacted immediately so that appropriate action can be taken. No such matters can be dealt with after completion of your rental period.
Access
We or our representative shall be allowed access to the Property at any reasonable time for cleaning or essential maintenance. Whenever possible, this would be by prior arrangement. Cancellation by Customer
Booking can be cancelled for any reason up to date of the booking. but please give as much notice as possible. Cancellation on day or 'no show' will require part or full payment.Cancellation by Myself.
In the unlikely event that the Property becomes unavailable for any reason, I will offer you alternative accommodation if at all possible. Should this not meet with your approval or if no alternative is available, all monies shall be returned in full and I shall not be under any other liability.
Accuracy and Representations
While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of information given either orally or written and all representations are made in good faith, no such representations will create any liability on my part.
These conditions supersede all previous issues and apply from 1st Feb 2010.
