Every year the Lincolnshire Show takes place just a few miles from Lincoln at the Lincolnshire Show Ground. With it's new EPIC exhibition centre and lots of activities and events taking place througout the two days the Lincolshire show really does make a great experiance and family day out.

The tradition of the county show is still as strong as ever in Lincolnshire, offering a fantastic and diverse range of activities and entertainment for the whole family. If you are looking for an action packed day out this summer then the Lincolnshire Show is definitely the place to visit, whatever your interest, the Lincolnshire Show has something for you.

In its 125th year the Lincolnshire Show boosts a wealth of activities to see, discover and join in with, from Pig Racing in the Countryside Area to Show Jumping in the Main Ring.

Tickle your taste buds by seeking out one of the many exhibitors in the Tastes of Lincolnshire Food Court, you can sample local and regional produce as well as picking up some handy hints from TV Chef Rachel Green in the Demonstration Kitchen. Learn all about the process from field to fork with Neil Curtis when you visit the Bacon Carcase Competition and try one of his local bacon butties.

The Lincolnshire Show is the highlight of the County Calendar and this year features the DON'T MISS World Famous Kangaroo Kid in the Clydesdale Bank Main Ring, one of the most prolific record breaking motorcycle stuntmen and entertainers ever known.

You can experience the full weight of Her Majesties Armed Forces with the Army, Navy and RAF all attending the Show this year, whether you want to listen to the rousing music from the RAF Cranwell Band, rock climb with the Army Cadets or take to the seas with the Royal Navy you can do it all on your visit to the Show.

Feel your pulse rise with excitement as you watch the furiously fast scurries race around the Clydesdale Bank Main Ring all wanting to be crowned the Osborne Refrigerator Double Harness Scurry Champion. Alternatively you can sit back and relax watching the majestic shire horses show off their turnouts ranging from agricultural implements to traditional brewery drays. The Lincolnshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs will once again be parading in the Ring with the Decorated Trailer Competition, showing off their interpretations of Nursery Rhymes and helping to entertain the crowds with their infamous water fight on Thursday afternoon.

Walk through the livestock lines and get that on the farm feeling with the local Lincoln Red Cattle and Lincoln Longwool Sheep close enough to touch, and much, much more including goats, rabbits, poultry and pigs.

Trek over to the horse and pony rings and experience the fast pace of equine life, the four equine rings will provide entertainment for all the family from dawn till dusk. From working hunters to welsh ponies the Show hosts them all. You can even fit in some shopping in the equestrian village if you have time.

For boys who like their toys the agricultural lines are the place to be, there are tractors and machinery galore for you to look round and if you can't afford the real thing you can even buy a model to take home with you. More realistically you can shop around for that new car that you fancy and talk to all the local dealers to see what fantastic Show deals they might offer.

If it's a spot of retail therapy you fancy then look no further, the Lincolnshire Show has over 600 trade stands to buy from, you can get anything from frying pans to the latest fashions and everything in between. The exclusive Mews Avenue is the place to shop for those extra special purchases including that hand bag you’ve always wanted, that first edition book or a fantastic outfit, just because.

The Lincolnshire South Federation of WI's will be once again providing a wonderful exhibition marquee but more importantly will be offering a place for you to have a sit down and a nice cup of tea the way only the ladies of the WI know how to make!

The horticultural area will be the place to go for all you green fingered people out there, with everything from garden sheds to vegetable seeds you can get it all. You can even pop into the Flower Show and gain a few tips on how to produce the perfect plant, before you know it your gardening knowledge will be flourishing.
