The World Famous Lincoln Christmas Market
Every year Lincoln holds its Famous Christmas Market. People come from all over the world to visit this popular event and get into the Christmas mood.
For this 4 day event in December the Cathedral Quarter of Lincoln is turned into a huge market of festive celebration with well over 300 brightly coloured stalls decorated with lights, and the delicate sound of hand bell ringers or local choirs singing carols by lantern light.
On the many stalls you will find a wide range of craft items and every conceivable Christmas gift and the traders in Victorian costume. You will find lots of festive foods with the aroma of chestnuts roasting, mince pies and hot mulled wine adding to the wonderful atmosphere.
There is also something for the young ones, and young at heart with fun games and even a few rides like the big wheel where you can get a great view of Lincoln if you can brave the cold.
It is normally a good idea to wrap up warm for the market as it is mainly outside and it can be quite cold, but it's well worth the visit and experience.
All of our holiday accommodation is perfect for visiting the Christmas Market as they are only a few miles from the centre of Lincoln. The accommodation in Lincoln does tend to get booked up early due to the popularity of the Christmas Market so I advise you book your accommodation in advance.
